Dudley Road Hospital Netball Club (DRHNC) are keen to support the next phase of the return to netball. Our main aim is to continue our commitment to reducing risk for all and to aim to facilitate the return to netball in a safe, fair and positive way.
Juniors: 5 per session and 1 coach. One court can contain 10 players + 1 Level 2 coach. An additional court with a further 10 girls and a Level 1 coach can be booked as long as the Level 2 coach is present. Each bubble must be at opposite ends of the court. No training bubble may train in adjacent thirds to each other.
How to Book a Session Sessions will be able to be booked once DRHNC have submitted their:
Risk Assessment.
Proof of COVID-19 Online training.
Club’s public liability insurance
Before the Session - A session leader must be appointed for each training session They will be responsible for:
Maintaining accurate records of attendance to training sessions and for test and trace of COVID-19
Communicating and obtained agreement for the Return to Netball guidance from all session participants.
Being the lead contact to communicate and escalate concerns.
Providing a copy of the risk assessment before the session start.
Ensuring all session participants adhere to the COVID-19 site regulations.
Although EN guidance is for minimal sharing of equipment Dudley Road Hospital Netball Club feels this has not be clearly communicated and can quite easily be misinterpreted. No one will be allowed to congregate or chat in the car park. Session leaders and coaches should report 10 minutes before the session starts to setup.
All session participants must arrive at their allotted session time and only report to the sanitizing desk 5 minutes before the session start.
All session participants must arrive changed and ready to train.
No changing rooms, toilets, or showers will be open.
If there is additional disability or medical needs within your session group, the session leader must discuss it with the coaches in advance of entering the site.
Participants should familiarize themselves with the site map, noting entrances and exits and the one-way system.
Only individuals essential to the session are allowed inside the courts.
Spectators are not allowed to enter the courts under any circumstances.
Participants must bring their own drinks and must take them home with them.
Bins will be provided.
Staggered session times will be in operation to reduce congestion.
Sessions will be 11/2 hours each session
No Individual should enter the site if they are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19
Upon Arrival
Adhere to social distancing guidelines and keep 2 metres apart where possible.
All session participants will need to report to their designated entrance and abide by the two metre floor markers in place at all waiting/queuing areas.
Session participants must be split into groups of no more than 6 (including the coach).
Under no circumstances must equipment be handled or shared.
The session leader or coach will be responsible for adhering to the latest guidance from England Netball in regards to equipment sharing and session setup.
During the Session
There should be no sharing of netballs, until clear guidance comes from EN.
If any session participants display symptoms of COVID-19 they must notify the session leader or a DRHNC staff member and remove themselves from the site and return home as soon as possible.
Items left on the court will be disposed of, no lost property will be operational.
If a ball goes out of session area, the owner must retrieve it. If another must retrieve it then it must be transferred back using 2 metres distance.
End of Session
At the end of the session, the coach/session leader must take participants to designated exit ensuring social distancing is followed at all times.
The session leader/coach will need to return asap to their area, collecting all their items and exit the ground.
All session participants should return to their transport and leave the site immediately without delay.
All equipment must be sanitised after individual sessions. By hiring the site, you are declaring that you nor any member of your household is currently displaying symptoms nor have been displaying symptoms for a period of 14 days prior to arriving at the grounds.
Disciplinary Procedure for Policy Violations DRHNC has done everything reasonably possible to ensure safety, social distancing and hygiene procedures are adhered to, with carefully thought out and tested practices. It is absolutely essential that all guidance is followed and adhered to by all site users to ensure that we are not causing risk to the spread of the pandemic or to staff, coaches, players and families. The club will not be held responsible if a coach, player or family member contracts the COVID-19 virus. All site users should understand that if they do not follow the contents of this policy that any/all of the following actions may be taken by the Club.
